What’s Your Go-To Makeup Brand?

Let’s face it, when talking about putting my best face forward each day, there is NOTHING that compares to MAC Cosmetics!

In all seriousness, makeup is a beautiful tool that can be utilized to magnify your inner beauty. I feel that makeup should be fun and express how you feel on the inside. Ladies, it’s okay to get a little glam. Layer on that mascara and blend out a smokey eye to your heart’s content. I’m not here to tell you how you should or shouldn’t be wearing your makeup. I don’t feel like I’m wrong either when I want to go more au naturel with just a hint of eyeshadow, contour, and strong brows.

Makeup is so much fun and I use it to express myself and my personality. Just the same as my wardrobe, my makeup changes with my outfits. Haha, alright. You’ve caught me. I’m actually a creature of habit when it comes to my makeup. I change it up when I feel the urge. But my normal look has been consistently the same for years.

I have to credit 98% of my vanity to solely MAC Cosmetic products when it comes to my makeup. I do have some other staples that are favorites of mine, but it’s safe to say that MAC is the main type of makeup that touches my face and for me to use anything else means I must adore it too.

I’ve always been a loyal person. The same holds true to my makeup. Once I’ve found something that is just too good to be true, then why change it? Why not just by other colors, holiday edition palettes, and limited edition collections.

Yep. I know I sound crazy.  But I can vouch for SO many of their products from paint pots to blush. From Matchmaster foundation to pressed powders. Nothing really seems to draw my attention quite like the MAC counter at the mall. But again, I DO use other products which are namely; Chanel, Dior, Urban Decay, and Anastasia Beverly Hills.

So here it is. This gorgeous look was created in Knoxville, Tennessee at the MAC Cosmetics Counter (By @MrsFarmerIfYaNasty) for a recent shoot that I did at the Tennessee Valley Fair.

I wanted to talk about some of the colors and products that she used to create this look and show you all how great it turned out.

I enjoyed this look that she created so much! I couldn’t get over how playful and fun the colors were. If I have ever tried to use “red” tones in any eyeshadow, I simply always ended up looking under the weather. As if my eyes were red and puffy. Haha, but this makeup artist was able to create something fantastic, warm, and the perfect compliment to my colorful shoot at the carival.

First things first, the foundation. I was in fact talked into trying something different but I would have to say now that I should’ve stuck with the coverage and wear that I’m used to with Matchmaster liquid foundation in 6.0. But, for this look, I tried the Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in shade NC20.

Other than that, I mainly used different colors and slight variations of products that I normally use at home.
