Easy Avocado Toast

Does Your Daily Routine Include Eating Breakfast?

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m NOT a morning person. I’ve noticed though, that I always seem to do better when I have breakfast and a solid schedule as a gameplan for my day. I don’t always eat breakfast but when I do, I prefer something healthy and fast!

Typically, I grab some fruit out of our fruit bowl on my way out the door. Strategic placement is key here! I like to have all of my kitchen countertops clean and in order so that one of the last things I see as I walk out the door is fresh fruit instead of digging through the pantry where we have an assortment of snacks (where not all of them are “healthy”-Yes, I’m human too!). Or, sometimes I keep it simple with a protein bar since I’m usually eating on the go due to my busy career as a real estate agent here in Knoxville, TN.

Am I The ONLY One?

When I do have time to sit down to a good breakfast, I like eating ‘clean’ and avoiding additives. Actually a super strange thing about me is that I HATE the smell of breakfast because it makes me nauseous. Not for any specific reason. I’ve just always been that way….CRAZY.

Yes, I know it’s weird and I’m weird. Haha. Yet, it’s so true! If you’re reading this and the same thing happens to you, PLEASE drop your story in the comments section. I want to know if I’m truly the only person in the world who this happens to.

Let’s Talk Breakfast Smells…

When people wake up and comment on how nice it is to smell bacon, eggs, and waffles…it just makes me sick to my stomach.

Now, let’s get this straight. That doesn’t mean that I don’t like all of those breakfast foods! I really do. I just cannot stand the smell of them. Haha.

I really like cereal, eggs, and even cinnamon rolls for breakfast when I have time to sit for a few minutes. But there is nothing that I enjoy more than a healthy dose of avocado toast with something great on top to get myself supercharged for the day!

15 Reasons Why You Should Be Eating Avocados

Avocados are such a versatile ingredient for ALL MEALS, not just breakfast.

Plus, avocados have tons of health benefits. They are packed with Omega-9 fatty acid which plays a role in reducing blood pressure (which I try to be aware of since hypertension runs in my family), increases fat burning, assists in protection of cells from free radical damage, helps prevent ulcerative colitis, and even generates brain myelin…just to name a few. Omgea-6 fatty acid also plays an integral role in growth, development, and brain function. Hmm…maybe this is proof that I feel on my game when I’m eating breakfast because my body and mind is fueled up!

Avocados also have vitamins E and B9 which serve as an antioxidant and encourages normal tissue & cell growth. Heck, they not only boost your immune system but these green gifts also contribute to anti-aging (literally assist in making your skin look good) and are an anti-inflammatory. Naturally good fats, potassium, & lastly, fiber (which I need and have always had an issue incorporating into my diet while I was growing up) are all additional reasons why I know avocados are a super food that I really need to eat on a daily basis.
